Child Benefit (Kindergeld) Payout Dates 2026: All You Need to Know
Every family in Germany receives monthly child benefit payments (Kindergeld) to help with the costs of raising children. The exact day you receive your payment depends on the Endziffer (last digit) of your Kindergeldnummer (child benefit number). The payout schedule is set by the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (Federal Employment Agency) and published officially each year.

How to use this page
- Find the last digit of your Kindergeld number (your Endziffer).
- Select this digit in the dropdown under "Timeline & Next Payment".
- Check the highlighted card to see your next payment date and how many days are left.
What is the "Endziffer" in your Kindergeldnummer?
The Endziffer is the last digit of your Kindergeldnummer.
For example, in 115FK155559, the final digit is 9. This means your Endziffer is 9.
The Familienkasse uses the Endziffer to schedule Kindergeld payments and reduce peak workload. Payments are released in sequence:
- 0 → beginning of the month
- 1 → shortly after
- 2–8 → sequentially throughout the month
- 9 → end of the month
Following this sequence ensures that the Familienkasse can process thousands of payments efficiently and reliably. Knowing your Endziffer helps you predict when your Kindergeld will arrive.
Note on transfers: The dates below are when the Familienkasse sends the bank transfer. Your bank may need 1–2 working days before the money appears in your account.
